RSD End of the Year Recognition

On May 18th, Russellville School District hosted the annual RSD End of the Year Celebration. The District recognized all the retirees, Teachers of the Year, gave out Years of Service awards, and introduced the new RSD STORM Award to 10 recipients. Afterward, there was a come-and-go reception for the 2022-2023 retirees.

The RSD Teachers of the Year: 

All teachers of the year were nominated and voted on at the school buildings. Every nominee turned in evidence of student growth, a resume, letters of recommendation, a video highlighting their story as an educator, and their message to educators and stakeholders across the state. The RSD Teacher of the Year was chosen from the schools’ teachers of the year. All teachers of the year received a $100 check donated by Roy’s Heating & Air. The RSD Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Savannah Burden, received $1,000 courtesy of Centennial Bank.

RSD STORM Awards:

This year, the District created the RSD Storm Award. Named by the RHS Rising Educator Students, the RSD STORM Award is for any classified or certified employee who Supports, Teaches, Observes, Recognizes, & Motivates (STORM).  All recipients were nominated by their peers.
