There are new community service learning requirements put forth by the Arkansas LEARNS Act. Students who are graduating in May of 2027 and after will now be required to complete 75 hours of community service starting their 9th grade year. These requirements will need to be completed by the end of the student’s Senior year.
The goal is to provide service hours during the school day through students’ advisory classes and make parents and students aware of opportunities outside the school day that will also count towards this graduation requirement.
