RSD is proud to announce that Center Valley Elementary and Sequoyah Elementary have been recognized by the Arkansas Department of Education for achieving student performance levels that place them among the top 6-10% of schools in the state. In total, Center Valley and Sequoyah Elementary will be receiving $44,306.29 in award funds.

These awards for Center Valley and Sequoyah are a testament to their teachers' hard work and continued focus on student achievement. I am excited for Center Valley and Sequoyah, and I am grateful to all our RSD schools for their dedication and commitment to student success," said Dr. Ginni McDonald, RSD Superintendent.
Center Valley Elementary and Sequoyah Elementary are two schools out of only 53 schools in the entire state to qualify for this recognition!
The Arkansas Department of Education School Recognition Program was created to provide financial awards to public schools that achieve high student performance and public schools that achieve high student academic growth, which includes high school graduation rates where applicable. Student performance will be calculated using weighted achievement.
