Russellville School District is excited to announce Derek Davis as the new Head Cyclone football coach. Coach Davis brings over 15 years of coaching experience.

Coach Davis comes to Russellville from Fayetteville High School, where he has served as the Defensive Coordinator for 5 years.

“Coach Davis comes to us from a very successful Fayetteville program,” said RSD Athletic Director, Ben Goodman.  “That includes a 45-15 record as a defensive coordinator and an undefeated state championship season in 2023. Coach Davis has been named a Broyles award finalist three separate years, and won the prestigious Broyles Award this season. This award honors the nation's top assistant coaches and highlights the impact of assistant coaches on team success, with a focus on results.  In addition to Fayetteville, Coach Davis spent time in Greenwood under Rick Jones.  He has been around two of the most successful programs in the state and brings that knowledge with him as he looks to build a championship brand here in Russellville.”

Coach Davis said "I'm excited for the opportunity to build a program that develops young men on and off the field in an unbelievable community like Russellville.”

Derek Davis and his wife Jennifer have a son (Parker).  He is a graduate of Mansfield High School and Arkansas State University.

Welcome, Coach Davis!
