RUSSELLVILLE Ark. - Russellville School District has announced the promotion of Mr. David Gaston as the Russellville High School Head Band Director. Mr. Gaston will be transitioning from his previous position as RHS Assistant Band Director.
Mr. Gaston is well known in the Russellville School District for his excellent work and dedication to students. Mr. Gaston has worked in the District for 15 years. He spent five years as the 8th Grade Band Director, six years as the 7th Grade Band Director, and four years as the Assistant Band Director at Russellville High School.
In addition to the many years as a district employee, Mr. Gaston and his wife, Kerry, were also RHS Graduates; their daughter, Isabella, is entering her sophomore year at RHS.
Mr. Gaston said, “I am excited and humbled to be the head band director at RHS. This band program and its past directors have positively impacted and shaped my entire life. I hope I can make a similar impact on our students by providing an elite-level musical and personal experience while delivering an exciting, innovative, and interactive musical experience to our audience.”
