RJHS and RHS Robotics Teams Win Awards at Cabot Robotics Tournaments

RUSSELLVILLE Ark. - The RJHS Robotics Team 72801A and RHS Robotics Team 967C won awards at the Cabot Panther Round-Up VEX. RHS Team 967C won both the Design Award and Tournament Champion award and RJHS  72801A won the Judges Award in the Middle School division. 

The tournament featured teams from various schools in the area competing in a series of challenges designed to test their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). RJHS Team 72801A demonstrated exceptional teamwork and problem-solving abilities, which ultimately earned them the coveted Judges Award.

"We are so proud of our robotics team for their hard work and dedication," said Russellville Junior High School Robotics coach Mr. Mahar, "Their determination and passion for STEM education is truly remarkable, and we are thrilled that they have received this recognition for their efforts."

 RHS Team 967C’s hard work and dedication paid off as they dominated the competition on the tournament floor and impressed judges with their innovative robot design. 

The Tournament Champion award is a particularly significant achievement, as it recognizes the team's overall performance throughout the competition, including their robot's design, performance, and teamwork. 

RHS 967C team member Jony Morales commented, "We put in a lot of hours and effort into building and programming our robot, and it's amazing to see all of that hard work pay off. We couldn't have done it without the support of our coach and mentors." Team 967C is now looking ahead to future competitions and continuing to build on their success and will be competing at a National level event in Colorado Springs in February. Team members include Ben McArthur, William Romero, Jony Morales,Carlos Ramirez, and Cristian Moorefield

"We're excited to keep pushing ourselves and see what we can accomplish next," said Ben McArthur. "We're grateful for the opportunity to participate in the tournament and to take home these awards."
