Mrs. G’s class has been focused on text structure this week! For sequencing/chronological order, they participated in a PB&J activity. Each student had to organize the correct steps of how to make a PB&J Sandwich, then had to follow their steps to see if they made a sandwich correctly! We had such a fun time and learned the importance of correct order! (no allergies were involved)

This week is National School Counselor Week, and we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible counselors at Russellville Middle School.

Our counselors do so much more than help with schedules. They are listeners, problem-solvers, encouragers, advocates, and steady supports for our students and staff every single day. Whether they are helping a student navigate a tough moment, celebrating a success, or quietly stepping in behind the scenes, their impact reaches far beyond their offices.

RMS is a better place because of the care, patience, and dedication our counselors bring to our school community. We are so grateful for all they do to support our students academically, socially, and emotionally.

Please join us in thanking our counselors for the heart they pour into RMS every day!

Cyclone alum and former RMS student Samy (Acosta) Christy shared these photos of her son, Johnny Cruz, wearing two crocheted hats made by Mr. McClure and his Advisory class. With the snow storm moving through, it’s nice to see students and staff using their time and talents to help keep others warm. We appreciate the thought and care that went into these handmade hats. Please stay safe and warm during the winter weather ❄️

Congratulations to our RMS Employee of the month!

"Mrs. Rentfro is an incredible teacher! She cares deeply about her students and their growth academically and personally. She's fantastic at meeting the needs of all of her students. Her students are blessed to have a teacher that meets them where they are pushes them to achieve more than they can even imagine. She is creative in the classroom and works hard to find ways to incorporate literacy skills in her classroom. She's a team player and RMS is lucky to have her!"

Congratulations to our RMS Student of the month!

"Randall (Bear) Smith always has a positive attitude with his classmates and works hard in his classes. This week, specifically, he has been so kind to one of our new 6th grade students. He has taken him in as a part of his friend group and helps him find his classes, they hang out together at recess, and they sit together at lunch. I'm really proud of the way he has welcomed one of our new students to RMS!"
