BRAD BEATTY

Russellville School District 2025 Teacher of the Year Brad Beatty has been named as one of 15 finalists for the Arkansas Teacher of the Year by the Arkansas Department of Education's elementary and secondary division.  The 15 finalists will be honored at the Governor’s Mansion on July 28th

Beatty is a 5th grade math and science teacher at Russellville Intermediate School and has served at RSD for 24 years!

"He is the definition of humble," said Aaron Lenson, Beatty's fellow teacher at RIS.  "He is never looking for a spotlight, but always stepping up when someone needs a hand.  He is passionate about robotics and helping students reach their full potential.  Whether he is helping solve a robot issue or casting a fishing line into the water, he brings dedication and focus to everything he does.  He is loyal to friends, hardworking to the core, and always willing to lend a hand."

Four state finalists will be chosen from the top 15 at the ceremony in July.  The overall winner will be selected in the fall and will be in the running for National Teacher of the Year for 2026.
